Food writer and cook, Rosie Birkett reveals the secret to perfect cooking, the best place in the world for fish and chips plus what makes every morning better
I love what Rosie said about leaving room for a little magic, a great reminder. Also, butter - especially brown butter - really does make everything better, doesn't it?
Thank you so much for this beautifully written intro, Farrah. I love how much you love that tuna! And to be compared to Nige, one of my food heroes - a massive compliment! Thanks for all your support with Substack, so far, I'm in love with it as a platform, and excited to see where we go from here. x
Yes, we should always leave room for magic in our lives. Especially in the kitchen. The aroma of magic enters the food, makes the tastebuds tingle with its secret ingredient, and feeds those eating our creations with more than just nutrients. Awesome.
Rosie’s on Substack! That’s made my day. I spend many of my days writing about chefs when I’m so much more taken by cooks, and cooks come writers. Another great read.

Well fancy meeting you here! So glad to see you have joined the Substack family too!🥰
Emma! So lovely to see you here - I'm really loving this space so far. Going to take a look at your letters.😊❤️
It's got a lovely human feel to the community!
Yes! Love that about it too and I'm finding so many lovely things to read, it's brilliant!
Yes! Unfortunately spending more time consuming than creating on here at the moment but there's so much great thought to get drawn into!

What a great boost for Rosie's new Substack! I love her recipes and looking forward to her newsletters.
Love this series Farrah and thanks for reminding me to subscribe to Rosie's substack. Happy Wednesday!

I love this series - always come away with a good nugget of wisdom or new restaurant to try!
Really enjoyed this and also recently discovered the lasagna sheets hack while making a 'rustic lasagna'. 10/10.
