Keep three steps ahead of the Hoi polloi with this pleasingly curated list of the places, people and things to know right now.
Once upon a time (like in 2017) I used to know where the best places to eat in London were. I could also tell you where the hottest art show in the country was, which hotel to stay in before the crowds descended, plus the coolest drink to order at any bar.
But then life sort of got in the way. I didn’t have time (or the inclination) to spend hours figuring out which hot new cafe served the best brunch in England. Or who was the coolest new music star I needed to check out. I remember saying to a friend once: ‘Just give me a list, once a month, that basically tells me what is hip, what is happening and where the culture is roughly at right now.’ I’ve never actually found that list. Instead I have to read, listen and look far and wide to keep abreast of the cultural pulse. So consider this YOUR list. I’ll do the hard yards, then put together a deeply curated list of all things hip/interesting/worth popping on your radar, whether that’s a new writer to read or a new paint colour to try out in your bathroom.
